J.M. HICKEY LAGER
PRE-PROHIBITION LAGER 5.4% ABV / 31 IBU
In 1897, James M. Hickey opened a bar and restaurant in this location, the same bar that exists today. This lager emulates what might have been served here over 120 years ago. Smooth with a floral hop note and a dry finish.
COMMUTER ALE
KÖLSCH 5.1% ABV / 22 IBU
A light, clean and crisp beer with very subtle fruit flavors and aromas. Easily enjoyed at anytime of day, this was our regular light beer on draft for many years. For our regulars, it’s back! All aboard!
SOLAR PLEXUS
DOUBLE INDIA PALE ALE 9% ABV / 83 IBU
Our flagship Double IPA with a medium body, juicy hop notes and hazy yellow glow. It offers flavors and aromas of candied orange, ripe mango, and grapefruit. Our most popular beer since it was first brewed in 2016.
UNDEAD
INDIA PALE ALE 6.5% ABV / 60 IBU
Loaded with Citra hops and just enough malt for balance, this IPA will help you through the coming zombie apocalypse. Board up the windows, turn off the lights, and pour a glass… The dead have risen!
DECK JUICE
MANGO & PASSION FRUIT WHEAT ALE 4.7% ABV / 13 IBU
A refreshing ale made with two types of wheat, and mango & passion fruit puree. Our annual summer beer is always a hit at our pub. Best enjoyed while sitting on our deck in the sunshine!
WISP
SMOKED VIENNA LAGER 5.3% ABV / 28 IBU
A classic lager style from Austria with sweet toasted bread
maltiness, featuring a background smokiness from the use of cherrywood smoked malt. Consider this a Rauchbeir (smoked lager)
for beginners.
THE COUNTESS
BALTIC PORTER 8.6% ABV / 40 IBU
A deep, rich porter with sweet dark fruit notes and a slight
chocolate roastiness. Mary Ingalls of Rocks Village married Count Francois de Vipart of France in 1805 but died suddenly shortly thereafter and is immortalized in Whittier’s poem “The Countess.”
THE VALLEY
NEW ENGLAND IPA 7% ABV / 43 IBU
We brewed this hazy New England IPA to pay homage to the Merrimack Valley where we’ve been crafting beers since 2003. Soft and hazy, this beer has juicy tropical notes of tangerine, peach & passion fruit. Cheers to the Valley!
UNCLE JACK’S PALE ALE
AMERICAN PALE ALE 5.7% ABV / 40 IBU
A classic American Pale Ale, light and easy to drink with
Cascade hop flavor & aroma. An homage to Jack McAuliffe and his pale ale at New Albion Brewing Co., the first American craft brewery, founded in 1976.
PENTUCKET ALE
AMERICAN AMBER ALE 5.8% ABV / 66 IBU
A classic American Pub beer with sweet caramel malts up front, followed by pine & citrus hop flavors and a firm, balancing bitterness. Prior to European settlement, the Pennacook tribe had a small village (located at present-day Washington Sq.) called Pentucket which means “at the winding river.”
